ABOUT AFA C.A.R.E.S. |
|
With the goal of further servicing local communities, AFA sets up AFA C.A.R.E.S. centers in partnership with agencies or facilities that care for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias, and their families.
AFA C.A.R.E.S., an acronym for Care and Resource Education Services, are resource and referral centers set up within agencies or facilities to offer the public information and educational materials developed by AFA, as well as local, state and national resources.
In addition, some AFA C.A.R.E.S. programs include day or overnight respite stays at special prices, and staff that have completed AFA’s training program specifically designed for dementia care professionals.
The public is invited to stop by or call their neighborhood AFA C.A.R.E.S. center to speak with an AFA C.A.R.E.S. program coordinator to obtain information and discuss services that can help with current and future needs.
To locate an AFA C.A.R.E.S. center, please call AFA at 866.AFA.8484 or click here.

select non-profit partners in New York City that are participating in an
AFA project funded through the New York State Department of Health.
